Project Description
Second Place – Makran Free Zone Tollgate Competition
Our design for the Makran Free Zone Tollgate, awarded second place, reflects the dual identity of its location. One side faces the free zone with an industrial façade, while the other presents an urban façade to the city. In doing so, the tollgate acts as a transitional element—bridging two distinct contexts with different characters and senses of place.
The structure also offers an expansive shaded area, essential for comfort in Makran’s hot, arid climate. A prominent triangular glass façade allows management to maintain clear visibility of all incoming and outgoing traffic, ensuring functionality alongside strong visual presence.
