OUR PHILOSOPHY

Considering full potentials of the site is paramount to us. We believe a good design should add something new to the spirit of site. A good design integrates with the nature as if it had been there from the very beginning.

OUR APPROACH

Our proposals outline BMDS’s ability to bring together and coordinate the skills of the full range of disciplines needed to deliver  high quality design for our clients within the agreed timescale. Our approach is collaborative and engaging and involves the client and all partners in decision making. We have a multi-disciplinary in-house team including architects, landscape architects, exterior lighting designers and engineers, MEP engineers, structural engineers and highways engineers.

The use of in-house expertise means that there will be a common working practice between disciplines. The in-house landscape team of BMDS will be of benefit to the overall project allowing for more efficient and effective co-ordination between Architecture and Landscape disciplines to design an efficient masterplan.

BMDS’s presence in international level has given us invaluable technical experience and a deep understanding of the complex coordination issues involved in delivering international projects of various scope and complexity.  Our experience also extends to an understanding of the business culture in the West as well as the East and the expectations in terms of quality, delivery and client relations.

“You can neither lie to a neighbourhood park, nor reason with it. ‘Artist’s conceptions’ and persuasive renderings can put pictures of life into proposed neighbourhood parks or park malls, and verbal rationalizations can conjure up users who ought to appreciate them, but in real life only diverse surroundings have the practical power of inducing a natural, continuing flow of life and use.”

Jane Jacobs, The Death and Life of Great American Cities

‘The landscape becomes human, becomes a thinking, living being within me. I become one with my picture…we merge in an iridescent chaos.’

Paul Cezanne
