Status/ Idea

This pavilion, has been designed for the TED talk show in Vancouver, Canada. We wanted to know what individual space looks like; the personal and private; the open and closed. How do we design an environment and experience that is nurturing, human, satisfying, and exciting? And our concept were built around the journey of a tree in nature: In a forest trees fall down at the end of their life cycle, but even a fallen tree trunk serves the forest’s habitat. Hollow trunks are home to many of the flora and fauna. Our concept for the ted pavilion developed around this wonderful characteristic of trees at the end of their life cycle. We wanted to show that how balanced the nature is and how perfect this ecosystem works.
